Holding the Runner On ()

Holding Runner’s On

·        Whether right handed or left handed your right foot should be up against the edge of first base on the home plate side

·        You should be in an athletic position, ready to move if there is a bad throw from the pitcher

·        Glove needs to be off your knee giving the pitcher a target and also making sure that you are ready

·        If there is a pick off attempt, be sure to catch the ball first

·        If there is a bad throw, do all that you can to knock it down, pick it, or block it

·        Apply a firm tag to the baserunner
