How to Setup On the Base ()

Setup ·        Both feet should be on the base ·        It’s important to wait until you know where the ball is going before stepping towards it (to your left, right at you, to your right)·        Once you know where the ball is headed step towards it with your glove side leg·        Your other foot should be positioned the inside edge nearest where the ball is coming from·        The foot on the base should be sideways so that when you step out your heal doesn’t raise off the base·        Catch the ball with one hand this will enable you to reach out further for the incoming baseball and help you to get some of the close calls
