The Upper Half of the Swing ()
Swing (starting from the launch position)
Upper half- Hands (along with the hips) start the swing
- take the knob of the bat towards the ball staying inside the ball
- keep the barrel above the bottom hand throughout the swing
- bat should take a direct line towards the ball, it should not loop or drag to the hitting zone
- at contact hands should be palm up palm down
- stay through the ball through contact
- arms and shoulders should be in a “V” power postion at contact
- head and eyes should be in line with arms and shoulders directly on the ball
- after contact hands and bat should finish high over shoulder
- hitter should swing down through the ball, creating backspin
