Repair:  Missing Bunts

If you are having trouble missing the ball when attempting to bunt you most likely have the bat too close to your chest or you are jabbing or tipping the bat when attempting to bunt the ball.

 Make sure that:

  • The bat is just below eye level and is out front with your arms not quite fully extended out front.
  • When bunting the ball you should be creating the bunting angles by either pushing the barrel forward and pulling the barrel back.  Check to make sure you aren\'t tilting the barrel when attempting to bunt.
  • Whn there is a low pitch you bend with your knees to get low and not just pushing the bat down.  There is no chance of bunting with that viewing angle.
