Tennis Ball Receiving Drill
Objective: To improve your ability to receive the baseball.
Setup: tennis ball, two catchers, or catcher and coach
Execution: Two catcher will get in their receiving stance or throwing and blocking stance. They should be facing each other about 5 -10 feet apart. They will not be wearing a glove and they will toss the tennis ball back and forth concentrating on receiving the correctly. Just trying to catch the ball is a challenge.
Coaching Keys: Challenge the players to catch the ball with the correct fundamentals every time. Challenge the players to catch every ball, no drops.
