The Upper Half of the Swing ()

Swing (starting from the launch position)

 Upper half
  • Hands (along with the hips)  start the swing
  • take the knob of the bat towards the ball staying inside the ball
  • keep the barrel above the bottom hand throughout the swing
  • bat should take a direct line towards the ball, it should not loop or drag to the hitting zone
  • at contact hands should be palm up palm down
  • stay through the ball through contact
  • arms and shoulders should be in a “V” power postion at contact
  • head and eyes should be in line with arms and shoulders directly on the ball
  • after contact hands and bat should finish high over shoulder
  • hitter should swing down through the ball, creating backspin
